How to Delete Your Account and Data
At MyContacts, we respect your right to control your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Here's how:
- Sign in to your account
Log in to your MyContacts account using your credentials.
- Access Account Settings
Click on your profile picture or user icon in the top-right corner of the screen to open the user menu.
- Navigate to Security Settings
In the user menu, click on "Manage Account" to access your account settings.
- Delete Your Account
In the Security section, you'll find the option to delete your account. Click on "Delete Account" and follow the confirmation prompts.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you delete your account, the following will occur:
- Your account will be permanently deleted
- All your personal information will be removed from our systems
- All client and contact data associated with your account will be deleted
- You will no longer have access to any data stored in your account
- Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
Data Retention
After account deletion, we may retain certain information for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. This includes:
- Records of transactions for tax and accounting purposes
- Information required to comply with legal obligations
- Information necessary to prevent fraud or abuse
